CASL Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Between CRTC, Competition Bureau and federal Privacy Commissioner

New (Limited) CASL Resources Released by Canadian Government

The Canadian Government, through its fightspam.gc.ca website, has released some new CASL resources.  While these new resources provide some helpful tips, they do not, unfortunately, specifically provide additional guidance on how CASL will be interpreted and enforced by the government.  We continue to wait for additional legislative guidance. T-minus 6 months until Canada’s new anti-spam law comes into force

As of today, individuals and organizations now have 6 months left to prepare for compliance with Canada’s new ant-spam law (CASL) as most of CASL’s provisions will come into force on July 1, 2014.
